Funding

The Alison Fracella Research Trust was officially set up on 11th May 2005 in memory of a beautiful, intelligent, feisty and affectionate young lady called Alison who sadly lost her life in January 2004 at the age of 29 years, to a Glioblastoma Multiform Brain Tumour (the fastest growing, most aggressive form of brain tumour).  Alison touched the hearts of many and inspired confidence from all those around her.  She will always be remembered as our ‘Lady Of Courage’

A huge amount of work has been put into establishing Alison’s own charity and fund raising has continued in Alison’s memory and will be used to research into the causation, nature and treatment of patients with Glioblastoma multiform brain tumours.

We have a lot more hard work to do yet but have been overwhelmed with people’s generosity.  We are always looking for new and innovative ideas so please feel free to email us with any encouraging ideas you may have.

Our operating costs are less than one percent of funds raised.

The 59 Club

This is a lottery syndicate called a 49 Club which has received excellent backing and we have already established two of these 49 Club lottery syndicates.  Approximately half of what we collect through the 49 Clubs is for our Charity and the remainder is for prize money.

The 49 Club has been officially endorsed by our local Council and it works alongside the National Lottery Game on National Television.  Buyers contribute an annual upfront subscription amount (which works out at between £2 and £5 a month depending on the syndicate) for a number between 1 and 49.

On the first Saturday of every month if your number matches the bonus ball on the National Lottery Game you win approximately double your annual subscription.  You have 12 chances throughout the year, so it could be possible for £2 per month, or £24 per year to win £588!

If you wish to contribute to one of our syndicates, do please get in contact with us.

We know there are many of you out there who we have not yet approached and we’re sure by word of mouth from others you too are keen to support this Appeal.  In fairness we were overwhelmed with our initial syndicates and we would love to hear from anyone who is interested in the next one we will be launching very soon.

We are also very keen to promote the 49 Club to those of you who have viewed our webpage and who wish to support the Charity, your help is invaluable to us.
